Procrastination

Ha. Ha ha. Ha ha ha. Ha ha ha ha.
Oh it goes on 26 times over in this progression. I've heard of laughter being the best medicine but dry humor can kill. No one is truly laughing. Everyone is either embarrassed or completely apathetic. The group of university students seems split. I go as far to say that girls are the embarrassed ones while the guys just don't give a shit. Class is out at 12:20p, I can last another 45 minutes of this. As I rest my head on the stomach of some girl, I can't help but be happy that I chose a fat girl. Her soft belly made my eyes heavy but I couldn't fall asleep on her - well I probably could (but that would be rude).
The group of girls who led today's class did a nice job of taking their time with the presentation while not going above and beyond. The class is able to exit 10 minutes earlier then usual. The bus is three minutes late. "I need to be at my next class in 13 minutes." The bus finally arrives.
What's on the agenda for today? Well I get to "learn how to be a journalist" for two hours today. That'll help me. I wonder in which class this piece is being written. The main table - a commercialized Middle Ages dining table - has diminished in population since the start of the year. It seems that students have begun to favor the outer walls. It's not for the Apples, they all maintain a darkened appearance. Perhaps is just the next case of apathy that isn't prejudice to gender.

Come to a library on any given night and you'll soon realize that the role of the librarian has greatly increased. Either students and self-declared intellects have become more daft or the libraries in general have become too confusing. Personally I'll go with the former over the latter. Hell have the students at your local university are only enrolled because they were told to by their parents or didn't want to have to deal with the more difficult question they are faced with: What's next?

This question is not easily answered and one would be foolish think they could answer it without careful thought. The question is equatable to "look in the mirror...what do you see?" These are questions that one should ask but not hastily answer.
I spend my evenings in the library helping these silly students find books and the information desk (which just so happens to be directly in the middle of the first floor marked off by large letters "INFORMATION"). My other duties include the checking in/out of various material and searching for the location of missing books. Tough job, I know. After six however, my duties greatly reduce because no one needs to check anything out; computers are the only thing in use. My duties reduce to that of a mall cop: eyes need to be open and I need to look as though I'm doing something of moderate importance. I opt for watching a movie on the computer because it gives the impression that I'm thoroughly fixated with whatever I'm doing. People are already shy to talk to someone or question someone they do not know it's almost a guarantee this foolish young-adults (technically adults) won't bother me.
Don't get me wrong, I'm here to help. I can be very nice and explanatory if someone does choose to gain information. I enjoy chatting with people I've no connection with; if you linger too long I'll try and turn our Q&A into a full fledged conversation. But this too is only a delay when one knows what needs to be faced: What's next?
